4 reviews for 180 Degree Tilting Spindle 4-Axis CNC Foam Router with ATC

  1. Nguyễn Đức Thắng 🇻🇳 (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) –

I bought my first YIHAICNC machine back in 2018—a 1325 advertising router for acrylic letters. That machine is still running in our shop. In 2021 I added a 1325 ATC wood router for cabinet work. So when we decided to get into large foam props for events and exhibitions, I already knew where to go. This green 180-degree tilting spindle machine is the third one from YIHAICNC, and honestly it’s the most impressive. The green color is not just for looks—it’s become a landmark in our workshop; clients walk in and ask about it. But the real story is the tilting spindle. We cut a lot of curved foam arches and faux organic shapes for event backdrops. With the spindle tilted 30–45 degrees, the ball nose reaches areas that would have required flipping the workpiece on a 3-axis. The ATC holds eight tools. We run a 10mm flat for roughing, a 6mm ball for detail, a 3mm taper for edges. It swaps in seconds. The 1500kg weight makes the whole machine feel planted—no shudder even when the swivel head is fully extended. This is the machine we should have bought two years ago.

Thắng, 2018 to now—that’s a long road together. The 1325 advertising router from 2018 still running is a good sign, and the fact that you came back for a third machine means a lot to us. The green machine was designed for exactly the kind of work you’re describing: event backdrops, curved arches, organic shapes. The tilting spindle is the key feature, and we’re glad it’s earning its keep in your workshop. Thanks for being part of the YIHAICNC family for so many years.

  2. Yusuf Acar 🇹🇷 (Antalya, Turkey) –

Machine arrived in Antalya three weeks ago. First job was a set of curved foam panels for a hotel lobby renovation. The green color is even better in person—photos don’t do it justice. But more importantly, the tilting spindle did exactly what we needed. We had some tricky concave surfaces along the panel edges; with the spindle tilted, the tool reached in without any interference. The ATC switched from a roughing bit to a finishing bit automatically while I was watching the dust extraction. I’ve only run it for about 40 hours so far, but no issues. The control interface is familiar—similar to the wood router we had before, so the learning curve was short.

    • Alex_Zhang –

Yusuf, three weeks and already into a hotel lobby job—good start. Concave panel edges are a classic swivel-head application. Since you mentioned dust extraction: keep an eye on the extraction hose near the swivel joint; with the head tilting back and forth, that’s the spot where foam dust can accumulate if the hose routing isn’t right. A quick check every few days will keep it clear. Glad the learning curve was short.

  3. Fahad Al-Qahtani 🇸🇦 (Dammam, Saudi Arabia) –

I’m comparing the green 180-degree tilting spindle model against the blue swivel head model. Both seem to have ATC and similar working areas. What’s the actual difference besides color? We cut a lot of fine PU foam for architectural presentation models—cornices, window surrounds, small ornamental details. The surface finish matters more than speed for us. Which of the two would you recommend for fine detailing work on PU foam?

    • Alex_Zhang –

Fahad, good question. The green and blue models are mechanically similar in the swivel/ATC architecture, but the green version is configured with a slightly finer resolution in the tilting mechanism and an aluminum profile table surface rather than vacuum—which can actually be an advantage for fine detailing on small PU parts because you can clamp precisely without vacuum pulling small pieces out of shape. For cornices, window surrounds, and small ornaments, the green model with the aluminum table is the better fit. If you were cutting large flat sheets, the blue model’s vacuum table would be more convenient. Since you’re doing fine detailing, I’d lean toward the green one. Happy to send a side-by-side spec sheet if that helps.

  4. Anton Zaytsev 🇷🇺 (Krasnodar, Russia) –

This is my second machine from YIHAICNC. First was a 1325 wood router. This green foam machine is for a new direction—large decorative foam elements for shopping mall installations. The tilting spindle is the feature I didn’t know I needed until I used it. Under cuts on curved surfaces are straightforward now. ATC is reliable so far. Machine is heavy, stable, and the green finish looks professional in the workshop. No regrets.

    • Alex_Zhang –

Anton, thanks for coming back for a second machine. Mall installations with curved decorative foam—that’s a good fit for the tilting spindle. Since you’re running a wood router and a foam router side by side, one thing to watch: keep the foam dust away from the wood router’s linear guides if they’re in the same bay. Foam dust is fine and travels. A simple curtain between bays helps. Glad the ATC is behaving. Thanks again.
